This December veteran kiwi electronic act Pitch Black are joined by London based artists International Observer and Tapes for six Australasian shows. Pitch Black have just returned from touring the US, Canada and Europe, while International Observer makes his first visit to Australia since touring with Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & Mad Professor in 2002.
International Observer is better known as Tom Bailey, member of 80’s electro-pop duo ‘Thompson Twins’ and renown producer of acts such as Killing Joke & Debbie Harry. Since the mid 1990’s he has been releasing deep, melodic dub as International Observer and has just released his fourth album ‘Felt’ on independent Australian label Vitamin.
These dub/electronica heavyweights are joined by Hackney based riddim renegade Tapes whose debut ep on ‘digital laptop reggae’ label Jahtari (www.jahtari.org) is currently sitting pretty in the Boomkat Top 10.
